Barry provided an outstanding performance at his first meet. Coming from an athletics background, he threw the hammer and achieving a new record of 96'10". Dave Warner was the previous holder with a distance of 92'4". But all was not lost for Dave, as once again he was the winner in Enniskillen's first hosting of this competition with a 34' putt of the stone and now a new record holder, beating Jonathon Kelly's previous distance of 32'5".
Though Dave won this competition in the glorious grounds of Castlecool, this battle ground was the climax of the series this year, seeing Jonathon Kelly being the overall Champion lifting the Highland Warrior Trophy.
