A big well done to the winner - last years 2007 champion and 3 times Ireland winner Johnathan Kelly. This was his first win in this years series - doing it in style with a first time ever caber toss playoff!
An amazing 4 records where claimed at Ballybofey - Dave Warner got 36'9" 22lb Stone Putt, Dave also secured the record in 28lb Weight for distance of 59'9". Johnathan Kelly got 2 records, first was the 16lb Hammer with a distance of 107'3", plus Johnathan equalling Dave Warner's 18' height in the 22lb Sheath Toss. I think you will agree, an unprecedented weekend of results. Highland Games is going forward in Ireland and into our decade year 2009!!
