Dave Warner-Coleraine finished a comfortable second at Stranolar County Council-Ballybofey Highland Games to lift the coveted Highland Warrior Trophy and crowned our series champion 2008.  Dave "Warrior" Warner has been competing for just 2 years in Highland Games to lift this coveted title. The I.S.A would like to say congratulations to him and a strong 2009 - I.S.A's decade year!

The competition was close between last years champion Jonathan Kelly - Carnmoney and Dave, with a Caber Toss playoff to decide the winner.  Johnathan's victory was the first of a mixed competitive year, though second was enough for Dave to win the series.

Dave Warner's nearest rival behind by one point going into the final Highland Games was Barry Delany - Corbal-lis Laytown.  Barry could'nt find any fire power to catch the "Warrior" Warner, though this year Barry has put down a serious message that he is a contender for the Highland Warrior Trophy 2009!
